Should fashion be followed?

Working in retail you meet so many interesting people.

Yesterday I met a lady, who was quite conservative, well established and somewhat prim & proper.

Shopping with her fourteen year old daughter, who was looking for a pair of shoes to go with a pair of Topshop culottes.

While ringing up her purchase at the register though, she opened up to me, saying how her daughters generation is infatuated with this Kookai bandage slutty dress style.

At this point my eyes and ears opened, she followed on by saying "Why can't they be into the European athletic style, it's so much more pristine & elegant."

I then wondered & asked myself, as I was once a Kookette, was I a Kookai bandage slut?...No.....!!!???

I for one had no choice but to wear the stretchy, tight fitting fabric because the constructed fitted tailored fabrics had no hope in hell fitting my massive bust!.

At the time I was a size 10 with an E to an F bust size, so yeah I had to follow trend.

So many people believe that you have to follow what's in fashion, I say follow your style & what suits you.

Create an identity for yourself, don't stray from what you love because it's not in fashion.
