Are short cuts in fashion worth it?
Years ago, my partner, cousin & I were invited to a close friends 30th birthday.
I had been working all day, so by the time I got home from work, I was absolutely wrecked.
I had minimal time to get ready, yes I know story of my life and realised that I hadn't washed my hair in a week!
I thought, how was I going to get around this, so I started getting ready while my cousin observed me. I didn't even have any dry shampoo & then remembered my partner had bought talcum powder.
I then asked him where it was and continued with asking my cousin to put it in my hair. As my cousin started putting the powder in my hair, I noticed the consistency was somewhat different because I saw small white hard bits forming but didn't have time to question it.
After finishing off my hair, I decide to read over the talcum powder bottle & then pause.. I had just put cornflower talcum powder in my hair!! My partner unknowingly bought cornflower talcum powder instead of normal talcum powder.
I started freaking out & thinking do you think anyone will notice? My cousin was in hysterics saying "You're hair is going to smell like corn", he then adds "Don't worry, I'm sure no one will realise".
We get to the party just and everyone is drinking, having a great time. We decide let's go upstairs to have a dance, as we proceed walking the stairs, I notice all this white dust in the air, thinking what the hell is that!?
My cousin then starts laughing, I look at him and say "What"?, he then tells me that every time I walk, the talcum powder from my hair disperses into the air.
At this point, I want to kill him because while applying the talcum powder in my hair, he went talcum happy. I think I was also to blame though , as I didn't give myself ample time to get ready.
Anyway I learnt my lesson, next time read the bottle before using & always give yourself enough time to get ready.
