When the heels don't work!

Does fashion play a part in getting a job, even when the heels don't work?

Looking fabulous & sleek definitely helps to look the part when going for a job interview.

Conservatively speaking, in a corporate world, it's all about the suit, skirt & shoe ensemble. In some cases, your employer even knows what you're wearing & where it's from.

A couple of years ago, I went for a gig at the ABC, so I was well dressed, makeup on point & even bought new killer black heels for my informal meeting.

I was ready to rock it and drove in but still had to walk about fifteen minutes up the road to reach my destination.

Upon arrival, I was a wounded soldier and noticed that my new heels, had literally cut into the back of my foot, rubbing to the point that I had also developed a huge agonising blister.

As I sat in the visitor lounge, I looked into my bag to see if I had any band-aids to heel my wounds, unfortunately the only thing I had found close enough was a panty-liner!

I know, I know, was I going to use it? Hell yeah! I was. So I walk to the toilet and place the liner in the back of my shoe & it worked a treat, who would have thought.

I walk back to the couch & wait for my interviewer, she finally appears & the first thing she asks, "Nice shoes, where did you get them from"? I respond back "You wouldn't have a band-aid would you"? LOL

Moral of this story always dress for the occasion because it doesn't go unnoticed but bring thongs if your destination is further than 100M to walk.
